Day Six (schism at Sundance)

John, Dorota, Erika, Rafael, Heidi, and Kirk at the "Choke" screening

Dorota and William H. Macy ("Fargo", "The Cooler", "Thank You For Smoking")

JOHN: This morning I FINALLY got to see "Choke" and was it ever worth the wait! It's different from the book in some ways, but like "Fight Club" it's different in good ways. Great Q&A afterwards too with the director Clark Gregg, lead actor Brad William Henke, and writer Chuck Palahniuk. The film got bought by FOX yesterday, so congrats to them and it will be in theaters hopefully in the Fall. Afterwards Dorota and I went downtown and met actor William H. Macy who introduced us to his director Steven Schachter ("The Deal" which some of our cast saw the premiere of this evening as well). Shortly after Chuck Palahniuk called us and we had a great dinner with him. Maybe some day there will be a Lyons Den Productions film written by the man himself! I gave Chuck a feature length DVD of "schism" to watch at his leisure. To cap off the night we met up with Michael, Kirk, Heidi, Erika, and Rafael at the Sidecar which had live music all night long. All in all today was an amazing day!

John's recent Scorecard:
Sleep Dealer - 6/10
Anywhere USA - 2/10
Hamlet 2 - 7/10
Choke - 9/10
